1. Store non hardy bulbs like dahlia and tropicals in peat. Let dry, sprinkle with bulb dust and store in basement
2. Protect tender new trees with tree guard
3. Tie grasses in the yard so they do not flop over
4. Prepare tools with WD40 before winter storage
